When Seth sees Jamie alone at the bar he is at, he can’t believe it. When he came back to Ohio she was the last person he expected to see, knowing Jamie had married and moved away. He is reminded of the childhood crush he had on her. When Jamie accepts Seth offer to go back to his house for coffee and to “catch up” he knows that he will be “catching up” on more than memories with her this night. Jamie knew Seth always liked her as a young boy; she secretly enjoyed his clumsy companionship too. Seeing Seth again brings home that this boy … man, is not clumsy anymore. After Seth allows himself to get caught up in his need to be with Jamie he realizes his mistake. He cannot give Jamie any kind of commitment. Not with his past and the secret he must bear. Jamie would be repulsed if she ever found out he was a werewolf, and Seth couldn’t stand to see that in her eyes. Confused at the way Seth acts after their one night of passion Jamie is determined to find out the reason why. Seth is a teacher at her sons’ school they are going to have to talk sooner or later. From one night of passion the seed that has been planted will be more then either Jamie and Seth could have ever imagined. As Seth tries to protect Jamie from what he is, his past catches up to him and he finds he will need Jamie now more then ever. Seth can only pray Jamie won’t turn him away when he tells her the truth. I absolutely enjoyed every page in this book. The Strength of the Pack is endearing and gentle as you learn about Jamie and Seth and how their paths lead them back to each other. I love the fact that Seth cares so much for Jamie that in order to protect her he is willing to let her go. I also love that Jamie is strong enough to not let him do it. As the plot unfolds the importance of the other characters begins to come through. Do not miss out on this powerful love story; you won’t regret one minute of it! Jorrie Spencer has an incredible way with the written word as she spins and weaves her way into your heart. I can’t wait to read the second story in the Strength series. |
