Tate Murphy has made a better life for herself and her siblings. Working together, they have improved their lives from their poverty stricken beginnings into becoming business owners and college students. Tate owns the local hair salon and her daily treat to herself is the sight of Matt Chase arriving for work. She has had a crush on Matt for a long time, but he has never noticed her. After all, Tate is nothing like the slim beauties Matt normally dates. When Matt helps Tate after she is struck by a slow moving car, they start spending time together and soon fall in love. But Tate has issues that are hard for Matt to overcome. And then Tate’s past comes back to haunt her.

Making Chase is the final story in Lauren Dane’s Chase Brothers series. This is a wonderful story and a perfect end to what has been a fantastic series. Matt is a sexy and caring man who falls deeply in love with Tate. Tate is a complex woman, unsure of herself at times and yet a tiger for protecting her family. Her struggles with her own background make her a rich character. Lauren Dane packs Making Chase with very hot love scenes that demonstrate the emotions these two feel for one another. I have to say, I will miss this family and am sorry to see the series end. I know that I will be rereading these books often and, as Making Chase is by far my favorite, I will most likely wear out my copy!
