In the future, aliens arrive on Earth attacking and nearly completely wiping out the human race. Included in the survivors are Caleb O’Hara, his wife and two brothers. They survived because Caleb had a vision showing the devastation that would befall Earth and he and his family prepared for the event by moving to an isolated Montana ranch and learning to be completely self-sufficient. Caleb’s brothers Mick and Justin are feeling the effects of the lack of females when Caleb has another vision. The only way they will survive the next onslaught is to be completely bonded and share in the love that Janie, Caleb’s wife, has to give. Sharing that love means that the three men will pleasure Janie and take care of her every need. Caleb knows this also means that Janie’s dream of having a child will be realized after years of unsuccessful trying. Janie is empathic and loves her brothers in law. She accepts them into her bed and the four build an unbreakable bond after they work out several personal issues including guilt and fear. But, will the bond they have be enough to protect them from the aliens who view humans as no more than semi-interesting objects to be studied and disposed of? Bianca D’Arc takes readers on a brilliant journey into a horrifying future with Hara’s Legacy, book one of the Resonance Mates series. Janie, Caleb, Justine and Mick love each other down to their souls and each loves selflessly. Their relationship evolves in leaps and bounds through the story with never a dull moment. I was fascinated by the acceptance and hope Caleb felt by the vision he had of Janie accepting his brothers. It is not an easy thing for the men to come to terms with, but very necessary and Ms. D’Arc wrote every scene with sensitivity and beauty. The idea of human life being reduced to lab experiments by unfeeling creatures is terrifying and makes this story even more gripping. This is a book you won’t be able to put down! |
