Caitlin Shanahan is an English Professor who’s earned tenure at the college she teaches at and who has no interest in spicing up her sex life.  She’s content with teaching college students, writing plays and renovating her newly purchased century-old two-story house of her dreams.  For some unexpected reason she’s become drawn to her tenant that’s renting the upstairs apartment and her tenant’s gorgeous lover, Kurt Davis, who also happens to be the carpenter she hired to do many of the renovations to her home, including the building of a gazebo.

Kurt Davis is a carpenter who has been renovating the home he’d always dreamed of having for himself but is now owned by the uptight professor he’s not all that fond of.  Until recently.  When his long-time lover and hometown actress, Meg, suggests he join her in bedding the reluctant professor, he flat out refuses.  But curiosity got the best of him after learning how much the professor is enjoying sex with Meg.  What Caitlin (dubbed as "Cat" by Meg) and he don’t know is that Meg has more than just seduction and sex in mind.  Meg is hoping to successfully get Cat and Kurt together before she moves on to make her mark elsewhere far from the small college town of Burntside, Wisconsin.

I have to admit I was quite hesitant about reading this book knowing it contained references to lesbian sex, which has never been of any interest to me, nor something I’d have ordinarily chosen to read about.  But after reading The Diary by Adriana Kraft, my curiosity got the best of me.  The sex scenes, leading up to the inevitable coupling of Kurt and Caitlin, were written quite tastefully and the denied attraction between these two left me waiting and wanting to read more in order to find out when and/or if they sorted it out, once they stopped fighting against it.  Seducing Cat also contained a wry humor that I found amusing and only enhanced it that much more.  Adriana Kraft is a force to be reckoned with and I cannot wait to read more from this very talented writing team!
