Valentine and Kurt fought side by side during the Peninsular War and became lovers there. Now that the war is over they are thrust into a world where they require a wife if they want to have their dream of a happy home and children. They believe that widow Leah will make the perfect wife as she needs the financial assistance the men can provide. They can only hope to grow to love her. Valentine and Kurt never imagined they would both fall deeply in love with her so quickly. Leah was left impoverished by her late husband and is at the mercy of her brutal brother-in-law who wants her for himself. Valentine and Kurt offer her security and peace and also earth shattering passion. What could have been a marriage of convenience and peace will actually be a passionate and loving partnership between the three. That is, if Leah’s evil brother-in-law can be stopped from ruining their lives. Love’s Strategy brings us back to the Brothers In Arms series by Samantha Kane. This latest look at Ms. Kane’s is yet another example of why I cannot get enough of her stories. Leah’s determination to provide for her children and to protect them from the violence of her brother in law will strike a chord in every woman. As will the love Valentine and Kurt show Leah in their every touch. The love scenes in Love’s Strategy are beautiful and varied. I enjoyed every page of this book and am very eager to revisit this series in future books |
