Andrea Fasselli has several problems in her life. Some of them more pressing than the others. First off, she has a crush on her boss that she has been trying to hide since she was hired. She needs her job because her Aunt who raised her after her parents died is in a nursing home with failing health, and now she has a stalker. Andrea met Cal in a BDSM club and only dated him a couple of times before ending the relationship. Cal is convinced that Andrea belongs to him and has been harassing her. When Andrea went to the authorities for help, their snide comments and crass behavior regarding where she met Cal led her to believe that they would be of no help to her. Now, Cal is in her office, standing above her spewing obscenities and nonsense about how she has been playing hard to get but this is the end of it. Before Andrea knows what has happened Cal has her handcuffed and is dragging her out of her office to the astonishment of her office coworkers. Her boss, Nick Tysinger came to her rescue not only threatening Cal, but pushing him against a wall by his throat and finding the key to the cuffs himself. Andrea is embarrassed and offended all at the same time. When Nick calls her into his office, Andrea is sure that she has just lost her job. Instead, Nick not only offers her legal help, but asks her out on a date. One date leads into another and before either of them realizes what is happening, they are seeing each other on a regular basis, and accepting the parts of each other that each of them has been afraid to share with anyone else. But Cal is not going to give up easily. And Andrea’s Aunt Gwen’s health is still failing. Nick has issues of his own to overcome. Can they help each other heal? Nick’s Lady is one of the most delightful BDSM books that I have read lately. It is inventive and imaginative while having no element of humiliation whatsoever in it. I loved the way Katherine Kingston creates characters with true life issues and problems to overcome and reactions that are very believable. The sexual chemistry is over the top hot and will leave you panting with the characters and wanting to be in their place. There is a loyalty, closeness and emotional tenderness that are so much a part of this book and the characters in it that you will fall in love with them all. Katherine Kingston has penned an emotion, sexual fulfilling, creative, imaginative, and intriguing story packed with underlying suspense that will keep you turning the pages until the end of the book and leave you wishing that it had not ended. I can not recommend Nick’s Lady highly enough. |
