After being betrayed by her husband and causing his death, Rhea is exiled from her home to Earth. For fifteen years she lives on Earth where she is slowly dying. Rhea has accepted her fate until suddenly a man from her past arrives to ask for her help. Jax needs Rhea to agree to return to their home world in order to use her talent at Sex Magic to defeat the Nameless, an evil force killing their people. Rhea and Jax will have to use the power generated by their coming together in passion to defeat the Nameless. However, Rhea will have to overcome the lingering pain Jax caused when he turned from her in their youth. If she agrees, not only will she be given back her home, but she will also have the chance at a future with Jax, her first love. Sword and Crown by Lauren Dane is about betrayal and forgiveness and the power of love. Rhea must not only forgive her family for exiling her, she must also forgive Jax for turning on away from her when she needed him most. Jax is very determined to have Rhea and knows he made a grave mistake when he ran from her and her love long ago. The sex between Jax and Rhea is exciting to read and well written. Lauren Dane expertly weaves the passion with magic to create and enticing story. I am very eager to read more of this new world and to hopefully revisit the characters she brings to life. |
