Eliza has come into season and needs to gather seed. The only seed she wants though is from Bruton. Having never been with a man before, she’s nervous and fears rejection but knows that she must go after what she wants. While the elders have told her what to expect, she's completely unprepared for how he makes her feel. Bruton has been waiting for Eliza. He fears that she won’t want him beyond his seed and will take his seed and offspring back to her coven, never to return. He’s determined to make her want to stay by his side by introducing her to the pleasures of being with a man. L.A. Day brings to light the influence that society has on beliefs and norms and the negative impact it can have on its citizens. The beautiful love story between Eliza and Bruton never should have been which only adds to its glory and sense of rightness. When it comes to Eliza, Bruton is anything but a barbarian - his soul is gentle and full of love and passion for her. Bruton is definitely the type of alpha male any woman would want in her bed and Eliza is a strong, noble woman that any woman should want to emulate. Together they are a memorable couple that you can't help but become attached to. I thoroughly enjoyed Barbarian Mate and highly recommend reading it!
