 | Title: So Lucky Author: Karen Erickson Publisher: Cobblestone Press Genre: Paranormal Publication date: March, 2007 ISBN: 978-1-60088-116-9 Pages: 36 Series: | | | Lucky Simon is anything but “lucky”, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. And let’s not even talk about what happens when Lucky gets between the sheets with a male of the species. She instantly freezes up, which makes sex a less than pleasurable experience. It’s not as though she’s frigid, but she wants a little foreplay and a partner who spends more than a couple of moments engaged in heavy petting before doing the deed. Is that too much to ask? Judging by her track record, apparently, it is. So when Lucky finds a four-leaf clover and carelessly wishes for a man, she certainly doesn’t expect to end up with a six-foot leprechaun sprawled on her couch! Is he a lunatic who has somehow managed to break into her home, or could this sexy man be the answer to her prayers? Karen Erickson’s sweet tale of finding love when you least expect it will resonate with women everywhere. Who among us hasn’t made a silly wish at one time or another, not expecting it to come true? Lucky definitely ends up getting more than she bargained for when she meets Aidan. He may act crazy, but whether he’s really mad or simply mad about her is the mystery that keeps this story moving forward at a quick pace. Although the plot does tend toward the far-fetched and the heroine’s severe dislike for sex is a little hard to take at times, readers who can suspend their disbelief will enjoy this fun fairy tale ride. |
