On her 40th birthday Kris is hit by a truck and should have been killed but somehow she survives. She is helped up by the sexiest man she had ever seen. He just happened to invite himself along to her parents’ home to attend her birthday dinner and there she learned his name was Dade. Dade had many surprises in store for Kris as he explained that Kris is an immortal and he is a werewolf. It doesn’t take long before Kris and Dade are in bed together and beginning to bond. Kris and Dade gather the help of several members of the paranormal society to help solve the question of just what kind of immortal Kris is. In order to protect Kris she will have to bond with three other supernatural men. Threats surround the group as a vengeful force is determined to have Kris and take her power for himself. It will take the combined powers of the group to vanquish the enemy and keep Kris safe. Told in the first person, Her Werewolf is one of the funniest books I have ever read. This tale from author Lisa Andel is a reader’s delight with humor and passion, adventure and magic. Kris is a woman who adapts quickly to things that would leave me under a table whimpering. The scenes of passion in Her Werewolf are numerous and never stale. There is one scene of nonconsensual sex in the book but Lisa Andel handles it with skill and taste and I didn’t find it to be a problem for me at all whereas other times I might have been disturbed. Reading Her Werewolf left me thinking about it long after the last page. I would love to read more about the wonderful characters introduced in Her Werewolf. |
