Mercy takes a vacation to Texas, wanting to kill three birds with one stone: spend time with her childhood friend who’s relocated there, hit her uncle up for some money to replenish what she lost on a bad investment so that she can secure her future, and have all her sexual fantasies fulfilled. Hot, hunky cowboy, Sinner a/k/a Spence is looking to clear his name by searching out a man who’d helped incarcerate him, convicting him of a crime he didn’t commit, and bring justice to his friend by finding his friend’s killer. After arriving in the club owned by Mercy’s uncle Parker, who seems to have left town for awhile, Mercy finds the man she wants to have a one-night stand with, make that several one-night stands. Landing Sinner that night was the most daring Mercy had ever been, especially when he agreed to her proposal of making all her dreams come true. When Spence finds out that Mercy is none other than Parker’s niece, he believes Mercy was using him to filch out information from him to report back to her uncle and accuses her of doing so. Will his accusations tear him and Mercy apart for good? Read and find out! Devil in Cowboy Boots is a very hot, sexy read that will draw you in from the first page to the last. The heat between Mercy and Spence is so instantaneous and combustible, you’ll be grabbing for some ice. The characters are very believable and well developed and blending in secondary characters and a secondary plot makes this story all the more delicious. This is the first book I’ve ever read by Sylvie Kaye, but it certainly won’t be the last. She has a way of combining humor, intrigue and sensual delights to keep the reader entertained from start to finish! I’m positive you won’t be disappointed at any time! |
