Khalid Barakah is a man with a mission. He is seeking revenge for an attack on his sister. His journey takes him to Vardon, where he enacts his revenge. Simply conquering Vardon isn’t enough for Khalid, he wants a physical prize as well. That prize is in the form of Rima Al Najib, the royal firstborn princess. Rima vows to enact her own revenge on the conquering sultan. She intends to ignore the erotic connection between them and do her absolute best to honor her people while enduring Khalid’s touch. But she can’t stay away from him forever. As their bond grows and hate and anger melt away to lust and desire, unseen enemies threaten to destroy them both. Their attraction may be intense, and their future uncertain, but can she stay away from him forever? April Reid delivers in this sizzling futuristic that evokes Bertrice Small’s classic Middle Eastern romances. Both Khalid and Rima are likeable characters and their emotional development is very full. The Sultan’s Revenge has it all. Great characters plus a fast-paced plot make this a very full read. It is clear that this author has a fondness for classic sultan themed romances. She firmly delivers with this book! |
