Antoinette is a piranha in her career, for all the good it’s done her; considered to be not a team player, she’s been passed over for promotion twice. She can’t keep administrative assistants because of her icy chill and demands, and she thinks the promotions are going to women who use their sexuality to win them. Not so for Antoinette; she’s fed up, and skips a meeting to try out the new bar around the corner. There she finds a bartender so sexy the ice queen wants to strip off her clothes, who acts more like a spirit guide than a human tender of drinks, and who asks what she really needs and then promises to provide it.
The bartender sends her home and she quickly falls asleep, waking in the warm sand of a tropical island to a vision of female beauty offering her sensuality untold. There she meets Mercury, the “DreamTime’s” hunky bartender, who proceeds to offer her talk therapy-and more. Before her island experience is complete, Antoinette will have become an entirely new woman, one who thinks and feels for herself, and not out of rote response to the pains and rejections of the past. I Want is a sizzle of a story with a good background theme of a woman who is on the fast track to misery and early poor health through overwhelming stress. Adrianna Dane excellently weaves her erotic elements into the development of Antoinette’s character, and the personification of wisdom principles by Mercury and Cynnara. If all emotional development were only so easy and so sensual! I Want is a winner that all readers can enjoy!
